Ante Kitchen & Bar @ Publika, Sri Hartamas.

How to pronounce the name. An-ti?

Pumpkin Veloute (RM13.00)
Not very photogenic but worth trying if you like soup with thick texture and pumpkin.

The Real Bacon Carbonara (RM27.00)
This is the REAL thing. The fragrant smell of the bacon caused my tummy to grumble before the plate touches my table.

Char-grilled Pork Steak (RM42.00)
Tender meat, nicely grilled. Recommended.

Crispy Pork Knuckle (RM83.00)
Nothing remarkable about this. It's lacking of something but I am not sure what.

Mojito (RM20.00), Caipirinha Passion Fruit (RM21.00), Passion Fruit Mojito (RM12.00)
Basically Caipirinha Passion Fruit and Passion Fruit Mojito is the same thing, it's just with and without alcohol. I would go for Mojito that has mint-limey taste.

Overall the place is pretty good, with friendly staff. Service is okay but that day was not a busy night. The price is considered affordable for the quality and the ambience.
Service charges of 10% applies.

Yutaka Japanese Restaurant @ Solaris Mont Kiara.

Once in awhile, it is okay to treat yourself with good quality food. What more with a dear friend whom you have not seen for months? I am so glad that I chose this restaurant to dine in. It was definitely a pleasant experience that will bring me back to this place again in the future. I think my standard for Japanese food has been heightened up all thanks to this cozy restaurant that serves customers with only their freshest ingredients. I like how the staff recommended us the best food to order for the day. Everything turns out to be perfectly satisfying. Let's take a look at the ambience!

Fine dining setting?

Hot & Cold House Sake. (RM30 each)
As this is my first time drinking sake, my friend ordered hot and cold for me to try. Seems like I quite like sake. I find that the sake is really smooth. We did not managed to finish it. Luckily the staff managed to get an empty bottle for us so we can bring it back.

Shake No Oyako Sashimi Sa (RM40)
Consists of salmon, salmon belly and salmon roe. As I said, the restaurant only serves their freshest fishes, the best sashimi I have tasted in my life.

Master Kobe 100g, Market price-(RM250)
This is not in the menu, it was recommended by the staff.
For those who are not familiar with beef, Kobe beef is better than Wagyu.

Kanpachi Kabuto Kama (RM85)
Grilled salmon head. Tastes good as well!

The chef gave us some toro for free. I forgot what are those fishes called but it tasted great!

Look how translucent it is!
Generosity of the chef does not stop here only, he also treated each of us a glass of Soju. We all ended up having 4 glasses of drinks next to us. Green tea, sakes, and soju. Too greedy!

All in all, I would like to thank the chef for being so giving and the staff for being so attentive. It is definitely a great place to go if you have higher budget. Some people will opt to go for buffets but the enjoyment of such quality food is definitely not easy to be found in buffets.

International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2014

It was a spontaneous plan to go for this event on last Saturday night. My friends and I planned to go for cycling during Earth Hour but the whole PJ area was raining cats and dogs. So we decided to go to Putrajaya for this year's International Hot Air Balloon. It was drizzling there but luckily we still manage to see 3 hot air balloons. Although it was quite disappointing when we were informed that the fireworks will be cancelled due to the weather and there was only 3 balloons (I expected more), we still enjoyed our time there under the light showering sky.

The event ended around 9:45pm. So we decided to walk around to enjoy the pretty night view of Putrajaya. Since this was my first time being in Putrajaya, I would definitely love to return there as I heard the scenic view around the Putrajaya park and also the architectures there are worth capturing.

New Beginning.

Life is not just about doing things you love but also trying new things and accepting new challenges. This little blog of mine will be sharing my love for food and photography. Also, a catalog of my little trials, failures, accomplishments of my daily life. I am not very sure what I want to be but I know what I don't want. Through trying out new things when opportunity arises, I hope I can find what is best for me. As I tour to the very end of my existence, I would want to be able to say, "at least I tried."
